Oakland Raiders report card for game vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
http://www.mercurynews.com/raiders/c...nclick_check=1 By Steve Corkran scorkran@bayareanewsgroup.com Posted: 11/21/2010 06:03:54 PM PST Updated: 11/21/2010 10:36:18 PM PST MAKING THE GRADE Passing offense: Jason Campbell completed only 7 of 19 passes for 70 yards. He also was intercepted once, fumbled twice -- he recovered both -- and sacked four times. Bruce Gradkowski fared slightly better in relief of Campbell over the final 20 minutes but wasn't able to affect the outcome. Grade: F Running offense: Darren McFadden managed 14 yards on 10 carries. He entered the game averaging a league-best 108.1 yards per game. Overall, the Steelers' top-ranked run defense held the Raiders second-ranked rushing attack to 61 yards. Grade: F Passing defense: Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger completed 62.1 percent of his passes for 275 yards, with three of his passes going for touchdowns. He was sacked twice and hurried a few times but otherwise had plenty of time on most plays. Grade: F Running defense: The Steelers amassed 162 yards and scored twice on the ground. Roethlisberger escaped containment twice for long runs, including a 16-yard touchdown. Grade: D Special teams: Sebastian Janikowski converted his lone field-goal attempt (41 yards). Shane Lechler punted well, as usual. Nick Miller and Jacoby Ford were outplayed by their counterparts on punt and kick returns. Grade: C Coaching: The Raiders failed to match the Steelers' intensity and stumbled time and again offensively and defensively. The Steelers outplayed the Raiders in every facet of the game and cruised to Advertisement an easy victory despite the most penalty yards (163) in franchise history. Grade: F -- STEVE CORKRAN |
