If waving the towels worked one would think the Steelers would be unbeatable at home with all those towels waving, but I don't think the Steelers are nearly as dominant at home as for example the Colts are.

Man, you are sorely mistaken. I travel quite a bit to Steeler games on the road and there are usually 10k-30k Steeler Fans at road games. I was at Miami and Tennessee this year and there was likely 20k in Nashville and 30k in Miami. Been to DC, Baltimore, Cincy, Minnesota, Cleveland, Tampa and there has always been a decent showing. I've been to PSI/M&T 6 or 7 times and only in the last couple of years has the Steelers not had a very strong showing.

Honestly..........if i was a Baltimore fan i would never even touch one of those. How embarrassing. I mean, if you come up with something yourself, its really cool. But when you blatantly copy someone else's deal, thats just downright elementary school stuff. Weak. Really weak.

Yeah, true. The announcers even talk about it during various games. The Steelers easily have the biggest "road-base" fans and fill opposing stadiums like no other. In fact, i've seen a few away games, all within the last few years (this year included) and could've swore i was watching a home game there were SO many Pitts fans in the crowd. Sometimes there's so many, it actually looks embarrassing for the other team.

The Towel is a ****ing symbol of Pittsburgh. Hell the Pens are having one for the Winter Classic.

And truth be told, every damn day I carry mine with me during football season, and I'm not even from Pittsburgh*.

The terrible towels look good on TV but I wonder if they affect the outcome of the game at all. And I wonder how many fans have missed a key play because of a towel waving in their face.
