Default Preferable Outcomes for Week 14

So I've decided to go game by game to tell you who we should be rooting for...if a game is not included, its outcome does not matter.

Tennessee over Indianapolis (Helps strength of schedule, puts IND behind us)

Cleveland over Buffalo
(Helps our strength of schedule since we play CLE twice)

Oakland over Jacksonville
(JAX win also could help, but OAK helps more in my view)

Pittsburgh over Cincinnati
(Obviously)

Tampa Bay over Washington (Strength of schedule)

New Orleans over St. Louis (Strength of schedule)

Arizona over Denver
(Only because it's NFC over AFC)

New England over Chicago (Eliminates some fringe wild card teams)

NY Jets over Miami (Eliminates Miami from catching us)

Kansas City over San Diego
(Eliminates San Diego from catching us)

Houston over Baltimore
(Obvious reasons)

The ONLY preferable outcome we need to worry about is PITTSBURGH over CINCINNATI! We can't be worrying about things out of our control. Beat Cincy, that simple.

Historically, the #2 Seed is more successful in finding its way a Super Bowl title. In that vain, I'm content with playing second fiddle to the Patriots in the playoff seedings. Besides, they would have to lose 2 of their last 4 while we won out. They have Bears, Packers, Bills, and Dolphins. Obviously the first 2 would be the best chances of loss. But #1 seed is not a position I'm comfortable with.
Super Bowl Matchups:
XLIV: 1 over 1
XLIII: 2 over 4
XLII: 5 over 1
XLI: 3 over 1
XL: 6 over 1
XXXIX: 2 over 1
XXXVIII: 1 over 3
XXXVII: 2 over 1
XXXVI: 2 over 1
XXXV: 4 over 1

So the #1 seed is 2-8 in the SB in this decade.
The #2 seed is 4-0.

I just want us to make the playoffs. Not a done deal just yet. We have got to beat the Bungles and Browns which is not a given. Both will be up to beat us down. We need to generate some offense.

Okay so the Steelers didn't get too much help this week. But they got the win. 1 more win out of the last 3 locks up a playoff spot. Win out and the number 2 seed is ours. In fact, if the Steelers lose out, the Colts are the only ones even remotely in position to take their playoff spot (however, this scenario is only plausible if they win out). If both teams finish at 10-6, it would go to a strength of victory tiebreaker. Just FYI. So a Colts loss vs. Jacksonville gets the Steelers in as well.
