Default Big Snack on "Rome is Burning" Weds.

Just to let everyone know I just saw Casey Hampton will be on Jim Rome Wednesday on ESPN. Always like hearing from him!

I think he is highly over paid. You really can't tell the difference if its Him or Chris Hoke. Except for the 4 mill price tag difference.

I'm on the fence about him. When is his contract up?
When it is, we certainly can't re-up it.

are you talking about size or performance, because I can always pick out Big Snack from a crowd

while its true Hoke can usually come in and not miss a beat, however how would he hold up for an entire season?

the 3-4 defense can't work without a keystone nose tackle like Hampton whose primary job is merely to eat up two offensive linemen. A smaller player like Hoke might not hold up for an entire season.

At any rate I'm not too concerned about Hampton, I think he's still doing well enough and we have him contract long enough to get him replaced.

IIIRC we gave him 3 year contract and franchise tagged Jeff Reed, and thus far that was the obviously better move. Its just too bad we didn't just cut Reed

I think he's having a pretty good season compared to the last two years he came to camp out of shape. Considering the effectiveness of our run D i would venture to say he is part of it.

i just thought it might be a good interview

I think anyone getting over 1 million a year is highly overpaid... I hope he eats Rome.

I actually didn't like the interview. Rome did everything BUT talk to him about him. "Hey Casey, talk about Troy. Now Ben. Now anything else but you." Holy cow Rome, talk to the talent that's on camera!
