Then to get the players to be able to do well in it is a whole diff story. The ravens didint fair too well in 3 - 4 and they are swapping back to 4 -3.
the ravens never know what the hell thay are doing year to year. i know dallas, pats, sd, browns will all be looking for 3-4 players. not sure about jax or texans. point is its not like we are the only team running it like when we found players like foote, gildon, porter, lloyd etc in the latter rounds. i think someone who may have cost us a 5th round pick when the 3-4 was exclusive to 1 or 2 teams will now cost about a round higher. just pointing out the economics of it, especially since we draft from a sb winners position (the lowest 1st rounder is essentially the highest 2nd rounder)

Thumbs up Re: James Harrison signed...4 years!

This is a key signing for the Steelers. Adds depth. He is one of my favorites and he's not even a starter.

For all who have seen the Steelers highlight video for the past year, I believe Harrison assured he was Cowher's kind of player when things apparently went bad on a particular play and, when Cowher asked Silverback what went wrong, Harrison replied "sh** happens," which Cowher loved.

That or when Harrison took down the Browns fan who ran on the field Christmas Eve.

Glad he is locked up for a reasonable price.

one of my favorite cowher sideline quotes ever. when i first saw that i thought it was during the sb but i think it was in week 1 against the texans. or maybe the titans.

yep, that was an instant classic for me as well, and told me a lot about how he is regarded among his teammates.

Great signing !!!

I agree...............................Tradition Rocks!

Congrats to Harrison, he'll be a starter after next year when Haggans or Porter is allowed to walk, I mean when he's started games in the past he has made a big impact its good to know that he'll be with us for another 4 years.

Yay for Diamonds in the rought, Harrison and Parker :)

He may be the 2nd great linebacker that the Steelers have gotten from little-ole Kent State University.
