When we add Malkin next year..plus the #1 or #2 pick this year...with Fleury maturing...this team has an incredible nucleus. Patrick has to go..he was incredible in the 90's..but its time to move on...hindsight being what it is...leaning on Lemeiux, Palffy, Recchi, and Leclair was obviously a huge mistake.

I do hope they keep Therrian (sp?) as coach...he has a system...and the young players buy into it.
He will be the youngest. There is no doubt the future of this team is looking very good. Crosby, Malkin, Fleury, Armstrong, Whitney, Orpik, Welch and the player to be named after this upcoming draft will make this a team to be reckoned with for years to come.

Therrien is a good coach in my opinion. Towards the end of this season you could see the kids picking up on his system.

Let's Go Sid!!!
Rep Points for you.

I`m glad someone brought this up. With the Steelers winning the big one, all other spoprts took a back seat for awhile. This kid is the next Mario, or Jagr, take your pick.

Speaking of Jagr, isnt he suppose to be too old to play like the best player in the league after all these seasons. Imagine if we would have kept him, him and Crosby in the same lineup!

Thanks brother and to comment on the Jagr situation. He is the best player in the NHL. The guy is unbelievable. But, he wanted to leave. Between the fans and the media bashing the guy to no end and the fact that he disliked Ivan Hlinka, it was inevitable. For the most part I felt he got a raw deal in this city. It's a shame that the fans still boo the guy when the Rangers come to town.

Crosby had zero points last night. Two more games to get three points.

Congratulations Sidney Crosby on your 100th point. With the exception of the Steelers Super Bowl, your the only other Pittsburgh sport highlight that's worth mentioning.

Crosby got 100 points at 18. Just think about it. Only one other NHL player has done it period. And with the crap Crosby has put up this year, mostly players taking runs at him with cheap shots, this is outstanding.

Ovechkin is probably going to win the calder but who cares. This is coming from a Maple Leafs fan, I rather have Sid than the Russian glory hog any day. My brother is a die hard Penguins fan and watches the games on the dish. From some of the games I watched with him and during the Leaf games, Crosby makes his linemates better around him better. Ovenchicken doesn't. This guy doesn't know the word "pass".

As for Patrick, the writing has been on the wall for a while. He has made some really bad trades and hence the reason why the Penguins are celler dwellers. The Jagr deal was the begining of the end for him.

Yeah they have. They are buying into Therrien's system and the younger guys are getting used to the high level of play in the NHL. While it's nice to see them getting better, I want that last place spot. We play Toronto tonight and the Blues play the Blackhawks tonight. We have 58 points and the Blues have 56. Hopefully we lose and the Blues win tonight even though I see the Blues choking on purpose.
