Yeah, they are having an all day rally downtown today. I'm going to head down later this afternoon. It's a shame, that Isle of Capri plan is excellent. Not only would it give us an arena (not just for the Pens), but it would clean up that whole area with zero tax payer cash. In my opinion, a deal will be worked out and the Penguins will stay in this city.

Well, the last game of the season has ended. Things to look forward to.........

1) Patrick being fired. No yearly extension for failing. He will be gone.

2) This teams future. The talent is pretty damn good.

3) The salary cap and new rules will make this franchise thrive.

4) Unlike other false hopes in this city, "We Actually Will" persevere...lol.

Draft lottery is tomorrow. The Penguins have a 18.8% chance of getting the first round pick. If we do win the first round pick I would love to be able to snag American-born defenseman Erik Johnson. Many are comparing him to a future Chris Pronger. If we don't win the first pick, Kessler or Staal will do.

My FSN Pittsburgh rant:

I'm curious as to why FSN Pittsburgh is not bothering to pick up the WBS/Scranton hockey playoff run? Instead we get to watch excellent programs such as........

1) We have everybody and their mother playing poker on this station. I love poker, but do we need to have it on every channel after every other show?

2) We have the history of the Pirates on every other day. We are aware of the history, why tease us with something we will never have again?

3) Pirate games, which is to be expected. I guess this is a good thing? Eitherway, helps hold me over until the NFL and NHL start back up.

4) The Sports List, which repeats the same list topics over and over again.

5) Cleveland Cavalier games for some unknown reason. Once again, this is Pittsburgh. We hate Cleveland and everything it stands for. Why would we care about anything that occurs in that city sports wise?

6) Rodeo..........I will say it again..........rodeo.

7) The Best Damn Sports Period (normally twice a night). I personally don't like the show, but I'm sure many do. It was sort of amusing when they had a coked up Tom Arnold on the show. But do we need it on twice a night and then in the morning?

8) Beyond the Glory (which are normally repeats from a year ago).

9) Sports Beat is the only show on that station that is worth watching. Stan is the Man. But yet what do they do? They go out and hire Paul Alexander......AHHHHHHHH!!!. There's a reason why the guy got fired from his radio show, he sucks.

Top Four Prospects in the draft.

1) Center Jordan Staal: Plays much like his brother, Eric. Very high potential. Solid, smart and responsible. The kid is good.

2) Center Phil Kessel: Straight up natural goal scorer. Known to be a little ****y.

3) Center Jonathan Toews: Plays good hockey offensively and defensively.

4) Defenseman Erik Johnson: As stated already, many are comparing him to Pronger. Kid is 6-4 210-215. Good on his skates. Can play finesse or phyical, your choice.

Personally, I want either Staal or Johnson. All depends on who the Blues pick. Unlike last season with Crosby, there is not a clear cut pick.

Now the Russians are going to make it hell for us to get Malkin. Typical. Hopefully an agreement can be reached with the NHL and the Russians.
