The force of Steeler Nation is strong in the Valley of Sun
I just got back from the Phoenix home and garden show and of course I was proudly wearing my 6 time Super Bowl Champions Pittsburgh Steelers jersey to the event.
The show was packed as usual and in the hour I was there I ran across eleven other Steeler fans. Remember I am 2000 miles from the burgh.
I had two little old ladies from Squirrel Hill run up to me and tell me how much they liked my jersey. I also ran across two full blooded Navajo, one of which was wearing a Joe Greene jersey and his wife had Steeler conference champion tee shirt. I talked to them for a few minutes and confirmed what another Navajo I work with had told me; the Steelers are strong up on res.
I decided to stop by the fine establishment in Chandler Arizona known as Pittsburgh's Willy's and have the best hot dog if Phoenix for lunch. It was packed with Steeler fans and the Black and Gold were everywhere.
On my way home from lunch I passed a family on bicycles. (the high here today will be around 75 degrees) Papa was proudly sporting a Lambert jersey, Mama was wearing a Ward jersey, the young daughter was wearing a Troy P jersey.
The power of Steeler Nation is just awesome here. Truly you are never lonely when you are a Steeler fan.
Oh yes a count of the other jerseys I saw.
