Troys status/health

After having an unusually quite day yesterday, I am pretty sure Troy is still hurtin from a lingering Achilles injury. But the question is, will he be full go when the Steelers go into Foxborough next week?

Pretty sure his quiet day yesterday was by design, they were utilizing him differently in the game. Whether or not that was to protect his ankle or just give flacco one more thing to think about is just a guess.

he just whiffed a couple of tackles, but he was going full force, and influencing every pass Flacco threw

Yeah, you don't limit that team to under 200 yards unless everyone is pulling their weight. Teams purposely avoid Troy, so he wont always be able to get the splash plays.

Troy is a terrible tackler, he admits it constantly, all he does is hit people really hard, and usually they fall down, but sometimes they dont lol.
Troy did a very good job in coverage and run support in general.

If Troy was a terrible tackler then Cowher wouldn't have traded up to draft him in the 1st round.

Usually when he hits someone or grabs them, they go down, I'm not saying he whifs on every tackle, but if you have kept up with his career and interviews etc, he always says he's not a very good tackler when it comes to wraping guys up, and it was obviously yesterday. If he just wrapped up Rice, that wouldn't have been a touchdown.

I think his problem comes when he tries to tackle guys that are shifty after covering so much ground. If they change directions like rice did its often hard for him to adjust. He goes from point a to point b so fast when the runner throws a point c in there the result is what we saw yesterday

the thing with Troy is when gets the opponent he looks great
but when he misses he looks really bad
but that does not mean hes a bad tackler
he goes after the opponent so fast and so hard
that if he misses he looks bad
