Are you surprised that your rookie class has contributed so much this season?
“Our coaches have put us in great situations. They’ve been with us every step of the way, encouraging us and teaching us how to be professional athletes. When we got here, all of us rookies knew we were in a situation where we had to earn the respect of the team, and we did. Now, all the guys are impressed with us.”
Is it a challenge for you guys when the other team starts talking like the Jets did last week before their game against the Patriots?
“We don’t pay any attention to that at all. We go about our business and prepare the right way to play a football game. We don’t do a lot of talking.”
Now that you have one NFL playoff game under your belt, can you compare that experience to playing for the national championship like you did two years ago when you played at Florida?
“It’s so much better. There is so much more on the line. In college, it was awesome. We had a great group of guys. But (Saturday’s game) was amazing. It was unbelievable. Man, our fans were awesome. For them to be out there with that much energy, it was crazy.”

What would it mean to you to get to the Super Bowl and win it all?
“Man, that would be awesome. I’ve won a championship at every level (high school and college). But (winning the Super Bowl) would be the greatest accomplishment ever.”
That botched snap between Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco and his center in the third quarter Saturday night … do you think the home crowd had something to do with it?
“They always do. Our fans are great. They cause a lot of confusion out there for (opposing offenses). Every team that comes in here has to go on a silent count.”
How does the Jets’ defense compare to the Ravens’ defense?
“They’re confusing. They do a whole bunch of stuff, a lot of guys are walking around. They got a lot of DBs in the game and a lot of linebackers in the game. You just have to prepare the right way for it.”
Did you have any trouble picking up all the different fronts and stunts the Jets did when you played against them in December?
“No, not the first time. And hopefully, I won’t this time.”
