I can see by year end, us having up to three rookie starters! Probably not, but it is possible. Heath Miller could/should come in and start very quickly. With Willie Williams age, and if McFadden is as good as advertised, why not. And then Fred Gibson, going on all the hype, with his size and athletic ability, Hines, El and Gibson, then Wilson in four wide sets. It may be a stretch, but we`ll see. Hampton and Bell started right from the get go their rookie year.

I could see Heath coming in and being a force for us,but that all depends on how well he improves his blocking at the NFL level. Even though Jerame isnt the biggest or fastest TE around, he's quite servieable and knows our offense very well.
McFadden will have tough competition w/ coclough and taylor.. although I think more coclough though, since taylor seemed to digress alittle bit last season. Gibson could be an impact for us, but w/ El, Hines, and Wilson.. he'll have to fight to get on the field in competition w/ Mays & Cobb. So he has his work cut out for him, but man, he's got the size we need for sure! |

I think Miller is going to be a starter right off the ba.
McFadden would have to compete with Coke and Townsend for a starting CB job...Willie will be a backup anc nickel/dime CB. Ward and El are the starting WR's...with Wilson in the 3 reciever sets. But if/whem we go 4 wideouts then Gibson would be on the field.

I can see them all getting playing time, but to have gibson crack serious time behind Mays and company would be tough. Also same with McFadden. Those guys have a two year head start on schemes already. I don't see us rushing any of the rookies we drafted.

I hate to rush the rookies too. But it worked for Ben, and Bell. Now only that our time is now. McFadden may be what we`ve been waiting for. We have`nt had a great corner since Woodson was in his prime. And my thought on Gibson is that a wr isn`t a need right now, so he wouldn`t be rushed a.s.a.p. But the more I read on this kid, get him out there and throw it up. 15-1 last yearDetroit or Bust.

I think it's time to cut ties w/ lee mays. He makes the team every year, becuz he has a great camp an pre season..then when he's called on in a game situation, he falters atleast 70% of the time. Granted we dont use him that much, and last year he did have some big catches for us, but spend his money elsewhere.

I think we are all in agreement that we just want the best players on the field, be it the rookies or the vets. Go Steelers. Detroit or Bust
