Anyone RARELY mentions the education of Steelers football when it comes to women. Of course, it's said to be a guys sport, but I beg to differ if you walk around Pittsburgh! SC MOM's posts are very impressive when it comes to Steelers knowledge. She lowers the boom better than anyone else I've seen talk the good game. One of my lady friends is a diehard fan and she's nuts, along with the women of my family, although my mother and girlfriend still can't get why we punt on 4th down! (lmao.)

Here-here. But I don't know why someone would say that women aren't as knowledgeable as men ? I mean if anyone is a fan of a vertain team, then that someone has the ability to be well versed and knowledgeable. And Mom certainly is that :-)

some men don't understand the game either, I guess it's all about what you're interested in. My dad has absolutely no interest in sports, and every once in a while I have to explain to him why we punt on 4th as well lol.

I remember an argument on Mike and Mike, the little weasely Mike couldn't believe that some people don't make the game their life. Some people just don't get into it.

There are a lot of knowledgeable female Steeler Fans. Especially ones that live here in the area, we are just innundated with Steeler talk, and we take our team very seriously, as if they were our own kids playing. Me and my crew of crazy ladies are gonna be out standin' in the 20 degree weather 5 hours before gametime then all of the game :)

I'm certainly not as knowledgeable as most (especially when it comes to X's and O's), but I personally love digging around for information and getting a lot of great input from all the fans here. I always considered myself a hardcore fan, but have gained a ton of knowledge about the game from many of the posters here and elsewhere over the past couple of years...so for that I'm truly thankful.

Pittsburgh chics do kick a lot of ass though! Largest female fanbase in the country!
