And yet Maurkice Pouncey, who was drafted at 20 years of age, and is 21 now, has started EVERY game this season, and has led a Rat-tag bunch of other O-Linemen who are basically back-ups to back-ups, and who was voted a " Pro Bowler " might just MIGHT become the first ???? Rookie Center to start every game, and lead his team to a Super Bowl title!!
![]() ![]() ![]() People, has that ever been done before ? I guess the closest would be the Pats Dan Koppen back in 2003, but Koppen actually did not start the first two games that season, but soon was the starter in game 3. And Koppen had a very good experienced O-line to help him, so I don't think we can compare that to what Pouncey has, and may do this season. How about giving three cheers to this kid for having MAYBE the greatest rookie season of ANY NFL Center ever!! ![]() ![]()

Good for you sir. But seriosly, hindsight being 20/20 in all. If other teams would have known back in the draft, what they know now after seeing this kid play,,,does anyone here think that Pouncey makes it past the 3rd pick overall ?....Not a chance in HELL! We stole this guy. And as stated, if anyone can dare argue a better rookie Center, or Linemen period who has had to deal with what Pouncey has had to deal with, then please name him ? Pouncey IS the Man! |

in hindsight I'm sure antonio brown woulda went way before round 6, and arguably sanders before the 3rd. our entire draft was stealing picks left and right, and possibly without this year's draft class contributions, we might not be where we're at right now. randle el and battle in our starting offense = we probably lose to baltimore lol |

The way our oline has been decimated and the center position being one of the most important in football, if not for Pouncey I'm not sure that we'd be in the AFC Championship game without him. he's been the glue that held everything together on the oline in my opinion.
