Michael Robinson a Steeler?

I was just reading the MSN office pool, I mean mock draft, and they have the Steelers taking Mangold in the 1st,

Travis Wilson in the 2nd WR Oklahoma,

Travis Wilson, 6-2, 214, Oklahoma
Intriguing athlete who was well on his way toward carrying on his breakout 2004 season before being stopped by a high ankle injury that required surgery. Was an important cog in a receiver rotation that saw three players drafted within the first three rounds of the 2004 Draft (Mark Clayton, Mark Bradley, Brandon Jones). Helped himself immensely with a strong Senior Bowl performance. Wasn't the most consistent receiver in terms of his route-running, but his combination of size/speed stood out

And Michael Robinson in the 3rd, they list Robinson as a WR, they go on to mention that the Steelers will not get past the first day of the draft without taking a WR, which I agree, but two WR????? I think they are a little off. And The way we used Kordell, Ward, and El, in the past do you think more teams are taking notice, and this could drive Mike Robinsons stock up?

i think our interrest definitely drives his stock up. case in point: matt jones. left the combines amazing people but many still thought hed be a 3rd round project. many thought the steelers would "reach" for him at pick #30. end result. #22 to jax.

many people just assume he will be a steeler in the 4th or 5th round since the fit seems so perfect.. this tells all other teams if theyre interested he will cost a higher pick. if the steelers really want him they better be prepared to use a third or trade up in the 4th. our interrest alone and success with these hybrid types of players puts robinsons (once a potental sleeper) on everybodys radar. matt jones owes the steelers a bonus for making him a much better deal than was expected.

also if we use all 10 picks i definitely see 2 wr taken

I can see your point on two WR, but a second and third pick?

And the Matt Jones reference is a good one, I think our interest drove him right out of theBurgh! Oh well Heath Miller is the real deal

My money is on NO - one receiver Day One...maybe. Two in the fourth round is likely.

I'm not sold on Robinson but I wouldn't be disappointed unless we use our third round pick which I doubt we will have. That could be the pick they use to move up in the first or second.

Forget Mangold. Like Suit said someone in the first round will have their bonifide Gibraltar Rock at center.

That's a good reason not to go with him. If his stock is going up because of an ARE then perhaps the risk of overpaying for him goes up too.

But a third or fourth round pick isnt going to make that much, I just meant he is climbing in the draft

maybe an early 4th (from trade) or late 3rd isnt overpaying for him. getting him with 1 of our 4ths would probably be great value though.
