I'm very happy with this pick, although I'm a bit worried about our running game in 2006. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things work out, i.e., if Duce can stay healthy, if Humes will develop into what we need for the Steelers running game, etc. Overall, this guy seems to be a good choice by the Steelers.

Welcome to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cedric!

This is great! I'm glad we grabbed this guy! I think this is the most exciting pick in my opinion. I'm interested to see what he can do for us and what we will do WITH HIM. I mean i hope he isnt pushed aside and forgotten kind of like Verron is, I'd like to see him groomed into a starter in 1-2 years. Either way i hope he gets a shot, i hope we dont just push him aside and never use him.

I think Humes is a great seventh round pick. He is a bruising runner and we need that to give Willie a break after all his 80 yard runs.

This is so awesome ! Im glad we snagged him, and at a bargain round pick for him. He can learn from the best. We've got one of the best RB's coaches to learn from, and helluva an OL to run behind.

Give him time, and he'll learn to pick and choose where to run and when.

This is great. He may very well be my favorite draft pick next to Santonio

I agree that Humes was a great pick, especially if he really pans out - I have a gut feeling he'll prove to be a serviceable big back. Also read that he played a year of fullback at VT, so we could possibly try him at that if RB didn't work - could be the heir to Kreider.

Yeah, not a bad pick for the 7th.
I've seen him play a couple of times at Tech and he's not afraid to be a physical runner.
I just hope were not bringing in another injury prone RB.
Humes has missed playing time with a broken leg(Fibula) and broken forearm over the past couple of seasons.
