I gave it a solid B. Ben is going to have so much fun with his new weapons. Holmes brings the deep ball back. Reid could be a better WR then ARE. Harris will be a good 3-4 DE. Smith looks to have the ball skills the Steelers have needed from the FS position. Jocobs will prove to be the #2 QB next year. Davis was a good value pick. He has great size and hands. Nice target to go with Miller in the redzone. Cedric Humes has a chance IMO to be a good back. He has great feet and power. Looks like a Steeler RB. Not sure about Colon or Philip. They will provide depth. Check the highlights on these guy's. Make sure you watch Humes.

I'm saying A only because we weren't in desperate need of anybody, we did manage the #1 WR, a decent fullback, and considering our position (low picks), did as well as we could hope. So, call it A for effort...

oh, btw, we also scored players from some big-name schools. I think that's important when evaluating stats. I'll take a high-average stats player from a miami fl over a stellar stats player from miami oh...

Florida State

lol i know i thought about that after the fact....but this only proves there's exceptions to the rule. I'd still take miami u players over miami oh players on an average year

The more time I had to sit back and study our draft, while also keeping in mind that we were picking last in the draft, I'm going to give it a solid A. Maybe I'm crazy? Obviously only time will tell.

First: We got our main need. A replacement for Antwaan Randle El. Some felt we gave up too much to get him. But, you gotta give in order to get.

Second: We needed a fast punt returner. I believe we got that in Reid or Holmes. Personally, I would rather see Reid.

Third: We grabbed a safety to compete against Clark for the starting job. I'm not hearing many bad things about Anthony Smith.

Fourth: We added depth and future starters. I specially liked the Harris pick.

Fifth: We needed another back. We picked up Humes. Another player who I was surprised to see around in the seventh round who I feel will contribute to this team in the future (not much this season).

I find it hard to complain. With the exception of WR, special teams and a safety I felt we were mostly drafting for depth and hopefully, future starters. If we go by the record this FO has for drafting talent, I feel we will be just fine.

I'd give it a "D" - I wanted LB's. I'll be watching pre-season to find out if our young, no-namers are ready to become stars at ILB.

Ahhh yes, I remember the days when Joey Porter and Clark Haggans were no-namers. It is fun watching our FO turn no-namers into top notch LB's.
