Default How would you make the Pro Bowl better?

Let's face it, the Pro Bowl stinks. This was the first one I watched since probably '96. I would say to do a fantasy draft, but that would simply be copying the NHL Would a lottery where players were picked randomly to be on a team together be suitable? What would you say could be done to make it more interesting?.

I really liked the way the NHL did their ASG this year, so even if they copied it with something similar, I wouldn't mind at all. Every part of it, from the draft, the skills competition and the game was much better than any other ASG weekend.

The other thing the Pro Bowl needs to do to make it better is STOP making it the week before the SB. People would rather see ALL the best players (who aren't injured) in there playing. I still think that's their biggest mistake.

It definitely needs a shakeup though. It's an absolute snoozefest.

Default How to make the Pro Bowl better?

The Pro Bowl still gets good ratings but Iím convinced thatís only because football is the most popular sport. I have been to the Pro Bowl and itís tons of fun. The week leading up to the game has lots of cool events around Honolulu where fans can watch players play flag football, bowl on the beach, and even catch a 350lb lineman on a moped wearing flip flops.

But watching the game on TV is a little different. Itís still fun, but it has no edge. So why not just take it to the extreme and let both teams run up the score with big plays? Oh wait, they already do that.

Baseball has the HR derby. NBA has the dunk contest. Is there anything the NFL can do to keep us tuning in?

nothing would make it better. End it and put it out of its misery.

for one thing, no one plays hard as they don't want to get injured (they might as well make it Flag football), and coaches don't want to give play/formation secrets away, so its really a waste of time.

Its not as fun as all-star games in baseball or basketball. They need more activities for fans to watch. Like basketball has the dunk contest and baseball has the home-run contest. NFL used to have the quarterback challenge, but that ended after like 2005. A lot of other activities and such ended too because people are more interested in the Superbowl and all the activities going on in the city of the superbowl.

Make it more like a high school 7 on 7 contest. Fast paced throwing and scoring!
