Terrible Towel now proudly displayed in NYC!
Mayor Bloomberg has made good on his bet with Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl after the New York Jets lost to the Steelers 24-19 in the AFC championship.
Bloomberg unfurled a Steelers “Terrible Towel” at the New York Public Library on Thursday.
Then he wore a Steelers jersey while assembling care packages for service members.
"I think it's also true that you really don't have the standing to talk about this unless you have been personally bitten by a groundhog," said Bloomberg as he answered a reporter's question about the News video.
Bloomberg was extolling the virtues of the groundhog's new home, which includes a plunger-like device that pushed Chuck out into the cold where Hizzoner waited.
"I love the plunger," Bloomberg said. "That was so much better than having to reach in and let the little sonofabitch bite you."
