Default 70's Salary Cap

Was just passing time on other sites. Note Mc&wife for this:
DEFENSE $51.2 million a year
DE
-- L.C. Greenwood, $6.4 million.
DE
-- Dwight White, $3.5 million.
DT
-- Joe Greene, $8 million, plus.
DT
-- Ernie Holmes, $3.2 million
LB
-- Jack Lambert, $6 million, plus.
LB
-- Jack Ham, $5.8 million.
LB
-- Loren Toews, $2 million.
CB
-- Mel Blount, $5.8 million.
CB
-- J.T. Thomas, $4 million.
FS
-- Mike Wagner, $2 million.
SS
-- Donnie Shell, $4.5 million.

OFFENSE $40.6 million at least
QB
-- Terry Bradshaw, $8 million.
RB
-- Franco Harris, $5.5 million-$6.5 million.
RB
-- Rocky Bleier, $2 million.
WR
-- Lynn Swann, $5.5 - $6 million.
WR
-- John Stallworth, $4.8 - $5.3 million.
TE
-- Randy Grossman, $1.7 million.
LT
-- on Kolb, $2.5-$3 million.
LG
-- Sam Davis, $1.6-$2 million.
C
-- Mike Webster, $5 million, plus.
RG
-- Moon Mullins, $1.5 million.
RT -- Larry Brown, $2.5 million-$3 million.

$91.8 million just for starters! These numbers were done by an attorney who based on salaries of a couple years ago as well. Shows how good we drafted then and how impressive it is that New England won 3 out of 4. I think it was Ham who said if there was a salary cap then would we have won four. He just shook his head and said the first one yeah, but after that not sure. Just thought this was cool since we were talking all time stuff as of late.

Man, I can remember seeing a special on teams of the 70's and how they would have faired vs. teams of today.. The teams of the 70's came out on top every time. You just couldnt beat the physical and nasty nature of how they played back then, till now.
