Default 5 hurt, 1 critically, by ice falling off Cowboys Stadium

If this happened at Heinz we would never here the end of questions asking why you would schedule a celebration of the season in a non-temperate climate

Hope this is not as bad as it appears to be

I'm telling you: I-30 between Dallas + Fort Worth is a plow-less, snow-windswept moonscape. This is officially a debacle.

Huge sheets of ice and snow atop the stadium could be seen sliding off the dome and crashing down 200 feet to the ground as temperatures warmed and the sun reappeared this afternoon.

“The ice and snow melting off of the Cowboys Stadium roof has caused several sliding snow falls onto the plazas,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in an e-mail.

The ice reportedly began melting and falling on the northeast side of the stadium over the past few hours, Arlington fire officials said.

“It started falling throughout the day, causing minor injuries,” said Lt. Pedro Arevalo, a fire department spokesman.

He said ice falling from the roof of Cowboys Stadium was not something authorities had dealt with in the past and therefore wasn’t something they had planned for.

That will certainly go over well as a defense to liability in the upcomiong lawsuits - great to see master planner Jerry Jones has everything under control

Bwaaaaaaaahahahahaha!! This is a possibility. Baddell wants to be Silverback but he's no where near as tough as him.

I can't believe we don't hear about this all the time for stadiums in icy conditions. Jerry's World must not have been built with ice in mind.
