So what are your favorites???

I love the Herb Brooks quote, "When you pull on that jersey, the name on the front is a hell of alot more important than the one on the back." Which is even more appropriate with the World Cup comming up in a month.

I also love the quote about baseball from Ernie Harwell. "Baseball? It's just a game - as simple as a ball and a bat. Yet, as complex as the American spirit it symbolizes. It's a sport, business - and sometimes even religion."

- "Success without honor is an unseasoned dish; it will satisfy your hunger, but it won't taste good" Joe Paterno

- "When a team outgrows individual performance and learns team confidence, excellence becomes a reality" Joe Paterno

Boy.,, there are alot of good ones I like, I think my favorite is
"Heros Come And Go, Stars Are Forever" author unknow

"In order to win you must be prepared to lose sometime. And leave one or two cards showing."

"When you're are playing for the national championship, it's not a matter of life or death. Its more important than that."
-Duffy Daugherty

"The minute you start talking about what you're going to do if you lose, you have lost."
-George Shultz

"There's no substitute for guts."
-Paul Bear Bryant

"It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog."
-Archie Griffen, two-time Heisman winner ( 5ft 9)

"The country is full of good coaches. What it takes to win is a bunch of interested players."
-Don Coryell, ex-San Diego Chargers Coach

"Show me a guy whos afraid to look bad, and I'll show you a guy you can beat every time."
-Lou Brock

"Dont look back. Something might be gaining on you."
-Satchel Paige

But my very favorite quote that a non sports person said but yet it applies to not only sports but life:
"The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary."
-Vidal Sassoon

and that very quote applies to every single thing in everyones life, family, sports, work, etc
