OK, I get what you are saying. But I don't think being taken
in the first means it will be a pick for a great back. I think,
like any position, it's never a given the pick will be a great
player - taken in the 1st round or not. When I think "great
back" I think __ consideration __ for Hall of Fame, if they
play long enough. I think Bettis will make the Hall, AND
I think he was a great back, because he was so productive
for so long. Longevity is a huge part of becoming a "great"
back. Bettis is #5 for all-time rushing yards. How can he
_not_ make it?

RM won't ever have JB's highest rushing season #s. And,
he won't do it for nearly as long. (I know you never said
anything about JB, but I just kind of rambled into it.)
