Charley Casserly has officially resigned as general manager of the Houston Texans. He told the Texans staff as of 2:30 p.m. ET.

Casserly, who has one year on his contract, will be applying for the vice president of football operations vacancy in the NFL offices in New York.

This was an easy one to see coming...this way, if Williams is a bust, or even if he isn't the next Lawrence Taylor, OR, if Reggie Bush turn out to indeed be the next Gale Sayers, the ownership has their scapegoat.

I really dont blame him I think there was something behind this having to do with the draft and it made him so mad that he wanted out of there.

Could it be he wanted Reggie this bad

Supposedly Bob McNair the owner of the Texans was the one who pushed to get Mario Williams and the failure to get Reggie Bush signed was the fault of Bush and his agent.
The Texans had offered Bush a guaranteed $25 million signing bonus...Reggie and his representation thumbed their noses at it.

Bush and his agent over played their negotiating hand.
