Well, he may like the Steelers, but they don't like him:

WHY IN THE UNIVERSE, would the Steelers be even remotely interested in a washed-up, geriatric runningback when we have a proven stud in Mendenhall and workhorse backup in Redman?

I would rather see Dwyer get the opportunity rather than Barber, and hopefully they let Moore go.

Gerry Dulac from the P-G does not dismuiss the possibility (Ed. B. said on Thursday there is no way Barber gets a look by the Steelers)

Could former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber, who is considering a comeback, end up with the Steelers?

A story in the New York Post said Thursday that Barber, who has been out of football for four years, could re-start his career with the Steelers because he is interested in playing for a successful franchise and a player-friendly coach such as Mike Tomlin. The paper cited two sources in the story.

The possibility may not be that far-fetched.

According to a Steelers source, Tomlin is good friends with Barber and his twin brother, Ronde, a cornerback with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who played for Tomlin when he was the Buccaneers' secondary coach from 2001-05. Signing Barber might be a possibility, the source said, if Mewelde Moore leaves the team in free agency. Moore, the team's third-down back, is an unrestricted free agent.

Tiki Barber is a locker room cancer and the Steelers need to get younger - I cannot believe the Steelers would have the slightest interest in this jerk

This is somebody who just wants to have the 'scoop.' So far the only things linking the Steelers and Tiki have been... Two 'sources' that say Tiki has interest in the Steelers and some reporter saying Tomlin and Tiki are friends.
