Default Random fact

Okay, i heard this on the radio. I've never heard of this before.

Question: What kind of bird is Big Bird?

Now i know the answer. I'll just wait until a few people post heir guesses. If you're hip with the children's public television scene, you noght get this.

That's what I thought at first, but no, he's not an oversized canary.
I'll give you all a hint: it's a predator bird (yeesh! predator bird! on a kids show? What's next? a purple T-Rex?)

Wow, I can't believe you actually got it. It took me forever. But yes, he's a golden condor. He never said this on Sesame Street, but he told Mr. Rogers once.

Good ol' Wiki

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bird

I thought canary aswell first - logically the next guess would have been Condor.

Well for me it was either a hawk or condor when given the hint that it was a "predator bird".
