here's what walterfootball.com had to say about those three...

James Carpenter, OT/G, Alabama
Height: 6-4. Weight: 321.
Projected 40 Time: 5.38.
Combine 40 Time: 5.25.
Pro Day 40 Time: .
Benchx225: 23. Arm: 34.
Projected Round (2011): 2-4.

1/28/11: James Carpenter had a good practice Wednesday, but struggled in the one-on-one drills Thursday.

10/2/10: Carpenter lacks the athleticism to play tackle in the NFL, but he is an intelligent blocker and at times really gets a push in the run game.

Marcus Gilbert, OT, Florida
Height: 6-6. Weight: 330.
Projected 40 Time: 5.20.
Combine 40 Time: 5.43.
Pro Day 40 Time: DNP.
Benchx225: 30. Arm: 34.
Projected Round (2011): 3-4.

3/16/11: Marcus Gilbert looked great in the drills during his Pro Day. He's a right tackle only, but he has value as a Round 3-4 pick.

4/3/10: Has started one year at right tackle. Played guard in 2008.

Jarriel King, OT/G, South Carolina
Height: 6-5. Weight: 317.
Projected 40 Time: 5.04.
Combine 40 Time: 5.03.
Pro Day 40 Time: .
Benchx225: . Arm: 36 3/8.
Projected Round (2011): 4-6.

4/3/10: Still learning how to play offensive tackle (a former defensive end). Benched during the 2009 season.

NFL from the sidelines

After hobnobbing around the NFL in the press boxes and sidelines, sports reporter Dale Lolley will let you know the insider scoop. Dale can also be heard on Tuesday nights throughout the season from 7 to 9 p.m. on WBGG 970-AM.

Two more offensive line prospects visit
http://nflfromthesidelines.blogspot.com/

The Steelers hosted Alabama offensive linemen James Carpenter and South Carolina's Jarriel King Friday as they continue to bring in a bevy of linemen prior to the draft.

Carpenter is something of a sleeper in this year's draft. At 6-4, 321 pounds, he's likely a RT or guard prospect and is rated as a second-rounder.

King, 6-5, 317, only played half of the 2010 season. He was suspended while being investigated for receiving improper benefits from a hotel. He also missed time with a concussion.

He's more of a third-round prospect, but with the visits of Carpenter and King, coupled with previous visits by Rodney Hudson and Marcus Gilbert, a couple of other second-to-third-round line prospects, you get an idea of what the Steelers are thinking.
