Hey Steelers people. Saints fan here. On our SaintsReport.com we do an "Expert" mock draft every year where we have a poster GM each of the 32 teams. The quality of the thread is beyond excellent and I cannot take much of the credit for it!
Anyway, I participated in the draft as the Steelers and this what we ended up with: Pittsburgh's draft class so far: 1. (31) Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado 2. (63) Christian Ballard, DE, Iowa 3. (95) Will Rackley, OG, Lehigh 4. (128) Buster Skrine CB UT Chattanooga 5. (162) Deandre Brown WR, Southern Miss 6. (196) Stevan Ridley, RB, LSU A critique would be great, but I'm hoping yall actually check out the thread too. Lots of good stuff inside. http://saintsreport.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195125 |

My opinion is that I drafted well in the early rounds and made great value, but may have dipped into some trouble by grabbing too many questionable guys. Overall, I think it was a solid effort though!

i would love Smith in the 1st and Ballard in the 2nd but it wont happen. Smith will be gone before we pick in the 1st and Ballard will be gone before we pick in the 2nd

I agree. Smith and Ballard will most likely be gone by those picks, but to me, that shows that the other posters on that board may not be as in tune w/ this years draft. Looks like you are though, solid picks. I don't know much about Rackley, but his name has been spread around a lot as a sleeper OL.
