Default Mock Draft 4/20

I'd prefer being able to trade the first round pick for a mid-2nd plus an extra pick, but this is done without trades:

1) Stephen Paea, NT, Oregon St

Here, I'd also consider Cameron Heyward, but it sounds like the Ravens will take him. I'd prefer a trade back to get Ras-I Dowling or Martez Wilson in the mid-2nd.

2) Marcus Cannon, OG, TCU

This would be great if he lasts this long.

3) James Brewer, OT, Indiana

Again, possibly a stretch to have him last til this late. I'd also consider Brandon Burton or Curtis Marsh here.

4) Buster Skrine, CB, UT-Chattanooga

I'd also look at Roy Helu here too.

5) Brandon Hogan, CB, WVU

6) Alex Henery, K, Nebraska

7) Richard Sherman, FS, Stanford

I'm not sure your Rds 2,3, and 7 picks will still be on the board, but I like them. I think there are too many questions about whether Paea will be able to handle the NT in a 3-4, but if the Steeler's feel he can, than I think it would be a wise choice.

While the secondary needs work, taking a bunch of guys in rounds 4-7 is not going to make it any better. We'll just have a bunch more Keenan Lewis's and William Gays. A corner in the first round is one thing but one in the first 3 rounds is an absolute must.
