Draft Since 2000
I have seen a lot of things said about this years draft class so I was curious as to how well our crew has done since Colbert took over.
-Steelers have selected 89 players with 63 of them making the roster with a success rate of 70.7%
-Since 2008, 47 of those players have spent at least 3 years with Steelers (success rate of players 2000-2008 of 67%)
-Of those 47 players, 30 have became starters or have played quality time and contributed for the Steelers, that is a success rate of 64%.
-Just to go back to the 2009 and 2010 drafts of those 19 picks...16 made the team and 14 are still with the team.
-We have great success and if we stick with out average, of our 7 picks 5 should make the roster.
My guess would be Williams will get beat out of a roster spot by Doug Jolly who was on our practice squad last year and Batch will get out by Dwyer who played really well and showed he could be a power runner in the season finale against the Browns.

Re: Draft Since 2000
I must have missed Dwyer playing well...Has alot of natural ability. But he needs to develop skills like blocking and pass protection...Played to much college junk ball.
