Default Steve Smith to Balt?

Would this make you nervous or do you think Smith is spent?
I think he took last year off, knowing they couldn't win. If he is
on a contender, he might go back to being the insane baller
he was before last year. When he is on, he is da bomb. A combination
of him, Heap, Boldin, Rice, et al could spell trouble for Pgh.

I also think Balt. has been watching Pgh lose to passing teams
(while beating rushing teams like themselves and NYJ) and
is altering their attack to be heavier on the pass in order to beat us.

Updating previous reports, Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith is interested in playing for the Baltimore Ravens next season.

The Ravens want to get to and win the Super Bowl, and Smith could be a key to doing just that. They've added several weapons in the passing game over the last two years, but adding a veteran like Smith may be the icing on the cake. They are also letting Joe Flacco audible more at the line of scrimmage. The team is putting their hopes on Flacco and the passing game in 2011.

we will be susceptible to passing teams until we alter our defense alittle and get better corners.

I'm more scared of Torrey Smith. Baltimore doesn't need another possession receiver. They need speed.

I'm not scared of any of them. They went and got Anquan...hell with him we almost beat them with a third string QB. Teams have been stacking up on us for years and it doesn't make a difference. I don't think Smith will go because they are now too crowded for this TO jr. But I don't care who they have it won't help them that much against us.

Unless he got a lot slower, Smith is no where near a possession
WR. He has been a huge play maker in his career. He has made
endless deep TD grabs for Carolina, at least up to last season.
No way is he a possession WR, if anything he is the exact
opposite of that.

A Steve Smith, in his previous state - and I am not sure if he can still play
to that level - would make a difference. He was a huge play maker. Give
Balt. just one more TD per game against us, that this guy could provide, and we
lose a lot of the games that we won vs. these guys.

I think more than ever. When you get busted up in a setting as huge
as the Super Bowl, every team will take note of what GB did to our
pass D. Now every team will try to repeat that, but may or may not
have the QB and WRs to do so. It looks like Balt. is trying to upgrade
their passing game to beat us. We have been a thorn in their side
for a long time. They know they must get past Pgh to make it to the SB.

I wouldn't fear Steve Smith at this point of his career. Remember, Flacco's throwing to him not Rodgers or Brady.

There shouldn't be any fear of any player in any stage of their career. I don't care how many playmakers you have on offense or defense, we find ways to win and thats all that matters.
