Default I don't care if you hate DWTS and TV...

...if you missed Hines last night, you missed some quality TV
and Steeler feel good power.

First of all, his partner was in a pretty bad accident. She landed
straight on her head (Like Don Beebe on the Bills in a play
off game vs. Cleveland - if you remember that) and then Hines
entire body weight fell on her as she was on her head. Her arms
went numb. I am sure she was sore as hell.

But she toughed it out and danced any how. And they were awesome.
They got 10s all night long. But even better was the background
interviews they did with Hines, his mom, Bettis, Troy, Tomlin and
Cowher. I have always loved Hines but now I do all the more. He
is special. He might even be my favorite Steeler of all time by the
time he is done. Oh, yes, and he cried after their first dance. He
just cares that much, like after the AFCC loss when he was bummed
for Bus. He is so crazy loyal.

His mom said (in a thick Korean accent) "What you know about dance?
You will fail. Be out in 1 week." Oh, and every week there are more and
more terrible towels in the audience. I bet ABC didn't expect as many TT
as they are seeing.

Great Steeler stuff, at a time when we have nothing else to see on
the Steelers, other than reruns of games on NFL Network (such as
all the Super Bowl seasons, which they aired a few days ago).

I don't hate DWTS. I just don't care.

I know Hines is a great guy, but I prefer to watch him play football.

I don't care about DWTS. And I really didn't care that much when
I heard Hines was doing it. But all that said, it has become awesome,
with Steelers in the stands, tons of terrible towels flowing, and Hines
being Hines - crazy hard worker, passionate, nails. Even if I wasn't
a Steeler fan, I would still have to love Hines. If you don't you don't
love football, or, maybe, don't get it.

Did Cowher bring up this 2006 quote from Hines in his DWTS interview

Winning the Super Bowl and the game's MVP award should have been the crowning achievements of his career, successes that would allow him to forgive and forget any perceived slights by coaches or the organization. And while it would seem that the hard-nosed Ward would be the ideal Bill Cowher guy--tough, physical, intense--the wideout says he's never had a warm relationship with him. "I don't have anything to say to him," he says. "After what he did to me, after how he treated me, no. The numbers I put up? The seasons I had, for them to keep on bringing in guys...?"

You obviously do care now, and hey that's great. I know lots of women who love and care very much about that show. I think it's great hines is doing so well on it and it's completely understandable b/c as we all know he is nothing but a winner inside and out. I think it's great exposure for him as he will certainly have a career on TV as an analyst.

But with all that being said,

is about the least intelligent thing I've ever heard. So my distaste for reality TV dance competitions means I don't love football b/c a football player is a contestant? Yeah, ok...

If troy p starts a cooking show on food network and I don't like his rosemary chicken recipe will I still love football? I'm confused.

That's funny he said that. I noticed after they won the SB that Hines
and Cowher didn't seem totally warm with each other. It was more
like "We just won a championship; we have to be cool with each other
but we really don't like each other" when they addressed each other
after the game. I really did notice that but hadn't read the above quote
but it seems to fit with what I observed.

I don't blame Hines. I felt Cowher was a phony in his last 4-5 years. I
read that he walked around the front office, and no one was allowed
to speak to him unless he spoke to them first - like he was better
than everyone or something. I am sure that didn't apply to the Rooneys,
but still. What kind of an ass rolls like that?

As far as Hines being mad because they kept bringing in other WRs -
that is unfounded. Even if they were thrilled with Hine's play, you need
more than 1 good WR to win. But I will agree that the drafting of Troy
Edwards was just a horrid decision. Talk about a reach. You remember
those years when we kept trying to get production out of him? Waste of
time.

Wow. Please look up the definition of a "straw man argument" and
get back to me. Consider it me giving you a little education material
for the day. We should never stop learning, right.

i never asserted that you have to like Hines on DWTS; I only said
that if you don't like HINES WARD, you don't like or understand
football. I don't know if you are on medication, or lacking sleep or
something, but you clearly didn't get the obvious and reacted
to something I never stated, namely that I said you have to like Hines
on DWTS or you don't like football. I never asserted any such thing.
Now go back, read what I actually wrote and start over. If you now understand
what a Straw Man argument is, then I feel satisfied that I helped someone
learn something new. I love helping out. If you have ADD or something, then
I understand how you missed the actual asserted point as opposed to
making up something in your head.
