Default 2011 schedule- 2 super short weeks

Twice in December the league has given us extra short weeks. We play the Bengals at home on Sunday December 4th followed up by a Thursday night game at home against the Browns on December 8th. Then, we travel to San Fran to play a Monday night game on December 19th followed by a 1pm Saturday Christmas Eve game against the Rams at home. Even with a red eye home, Tuesday is shot, meaning we will only have 3 days in between for each of these scenarios.

Short weeks are always tough on teams and I believe the win % after they played a Monday night game the week before is lower than the norm. I can't remember the last time we've had 2 extra short weeks in the same season, let alone in the same month. Hopefully we come out ok. After our bye week our schedule looks pretty easy on paper, but the schedule could throw a little monkey wrench in a perfect stretch run.

You got to admit: Two short weeks seems unfair, until you look and
see who the 2nd game is each week - Browns and Rams, at home. Both
could be teams on the road to improvement, but I don't see us losing
at home to either of them. Of course, you never know, but if we have to
play two short weeks, both 2nd games are about as easy as you get. Rams
are scrappy, but most of their wins come at home against their horrid NFC
West brethren. They still don't have any deep weapons, are lacking on D
and we will destroy their rushing game. Browns are still lacking
play makers - Cribbs can't do it all. So they got a bruiser in HGH Hillbilly

I am OK with having those two short weeks. It's not like we are coming off
short weeks and having to play the Pats, Colts or even the caliber of the
Ravens or Jets. That would be troubling, a tad.
