Default Re: Steelers' Harrison to Magazine: Goodell a 'Devil'

And there's more

On the 2004 season:
“I should have another ring. We were the best team in football in 2004, but the Patriots, who we beat during the regular season, stole our signals and picked up 90 percent of our blitzes [in the AFC title game]. They got busted for it later, but, hey, they’re Goodell’s boys, so he slapped ‘em $500,000 and burned the tapes. Was he going to rescind their Super Bowls? Man, hell no!”
...

On Pittsburgh safety Troy Polamalu:
“He’s the one guy in football I respect absolutely, ‘cause he’s spiritual and lives it like he talks it. You know, he gets more flags than anyone on our team but never gets fined for nothin’. He’s so polite and talks so softly that he could tell he could tell Goodell to kiss his ass, and Goodell would smile and say thank you.”

Third, don't call out your teammates,,,especially when you didn't do s*** in the super bowl.

This should be Tomlin's first locker room displine shout/speech on day one :
"No facebook posts about this team. No "tweeting" on Twitter about this team. Or other teams. Or your teammates. Or opposing players. No discussing Roger Goodell with a member of the media. Period. If YOU DO....there will be consequences and get ready to write me a BIG check. Do i make myself clear?"
Or something like that.

Well said - this franchise used to have a rep as a class organization but it is turning into the 70s Raiders

I do not think pro athletes have gotten dumber - the difference is in a society that lives by the principle there is no such thing as bad publicity some of these guys enjoy popping off and as soon as they say something it goes viral over the internet

Everyone, including me, was all upset at some or all parts of this story when it first broke. But the more i read into it and hear details its not all bad. Harrison is pissed at goodell, pissed at losing the super bowl! (and rightfully so) he has voiced his opinion and its all out in the open. If anything it might be good he did this. All the players on this team are still pissed about the super bowl loss, and i can see them using this as motivation to get back and win it this year!!!!!!!! They have something to prove and i dont think they will let anything stand in there way this year!!

He did hand the ball off. Then Mendenhall met Clay Matthews in the backfield..

I'm glad he said what he did about Goodell, I wish more players would. Goodell is ruining the game and there are no words or names to harsh for him. He should have not said anything about the Super Bowl or any teammate.

I won't be surprised if the Rooney's make an example of Harrison to the rest of the team. I question whether he will be with the team when the season starts. James isn't getting any younger, and while we can't fill his spot today as well as he can fill it, we can fill it well enough and can bring in other players in a trade to fill more pressing needs. Just say'in.

I worry about Harrison this year anyhow...Back surgery and 33 years old are not a good mix...
