Default Randle El released

Randle El has started 23 games in two stints with the Steelers. After being drafted in the second round (62nd overall) by Pittsburgh in the 2002 NFL Draft, he spent four seasons with the Steelers (2002-05) before playing the next four in Washington (2006-09). Randle El returned to Pittsburgh in 2010 and played in all 16 games, finishing with 22 catches for 253 yards (11.5 avg.)

Damn, I was hoping we'd clown the Seahawks in week 2 by having him throw a TD to Ward.....for old time's sake

That would just give their fans something else to whine about.

I agree with Battle.
I thought it was smart to bring ARE back ... but it didn't work out so well.

nice little option play in the super bowl... but thats about it... battle was for the most part a bust didnt bring anything as wideout but we didnt need him to and nothing a rookie couldnt bring on special teams.

wish them luck

I think they should get rid of Battle too to make room for Grisham and hell...that Eric Greenwood we signed is 6'7 so who knows he may be able to sit and grow into a good reciever. They don't need El because the 1-4 will be Ward, Wallace, Sanders, Brown now they can work on the rest.
