Default Steelers announce series of moves

Quote:
PITTSBURGH ─ The Steelers have made a number of roster moves today, signing six of seven draft picks from this year’s NFL Draft, the team announced.

Pittsburgh has signed defensive lineman Cameron Heyward (1st Round – 31st overall), offensive lineman Marcus Gilbert (2nd Round – 63rd overall), defensive back Cortez Allen (4th Round – 128th overall), defensive lineman Chris Carter (5th Round – 162nd overall), offensive lineman Keith Williams (6th Round – 196th overall) and running back Baron Batch (7th Round – 232nd overall).

Wide receiver Hines Ward, guard Chris Kemoeatu and tight end Eugene Bright were placed on the Active/PUP (Physically Unable To Perform) List.

The Steelers also have agreed to terms with cornerback Ike Taylor, placekicker Shaun Suisham and offensive tackles Willie Colon and Jonathan Scott.

Pittsburgh has released veteran offensive tackles Max Starks and Flozell Adams, as well as veteran wide receiver Antwaan Randle El.

The Steelers now have 87 players on the roster, three below the new league limit of 90 players for training camp.

Yeah.

I hope after this year (unlikely) he can take over for McFadden.

Someone HAS to take over for McFadden. McFadden and the Oline are the weak spots.

Awesome. Now we can get down to the business of #7. I 'd love to see Ben get 5 rings before he retires. Then maybe he'll get some respect.
