Wasn't sure if this should go under NFL or NCAA, but since it was by Goodell...
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/68...rst-five-games Couple of additional articles saying WTF? http://espn.go.com/espn/commentary/s...fl-ncaa-merger http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/...-call-on-pryor IMHO, at what point does Goodell's jurisdiction stop? This was well outside of his area of authority... |

i agree... i don't see how you can justify dishing out a punishment to a guy who isn't even employed within the league yet ...
![]() at least he didn't give him a fine ...

Just the latest unjustified assertion of authority by Goodell, who in this case is carrying water for the NFL's minor league system (aka the NCAA))
It's dangerous ground in that Goodell has now set a precedent with the Pryor ruling, and his judgment and decisions on punishment had best be in line with that standard going forward. Will he hand out discipline to every college player -- or head coach (hello, Pete Carroll?) -- who attempt to enter the league even while the cloud of alleged NCAA violations or illegalities still hang over their head? If not, it's only going to add to the charges that Goodell has wielded his considerable power too arbitrarily and inconsistently in some high-profile cases. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...?sct=nfl_wr_a2 Absolute power corrupts absolutely |

I am sorry, I have said this several times already but this ****ing guy needs to go!!!!!!! I am sorry. I am seriously getting to the point where I do not know what to react to anymore. WHAT IS THIS GUY?!!!!! God? The disciplinarian of the earth? This guy is destroying football and all his players hate him. Where are the stupid owners in all this? They can put a stop to this if they wanted to. Either by getting rid of this clown or make him stop doing this crap. This is the first time in my life I am fed up with the Rooney's, they put this guy in power for what? Get him the **** OUT!!!!!
