I have learned over the years that we can always get another player that is as fast and as good as the previous player, if not faster and better. That is not true when you are talking about a qb like Ben. I think I feel that way because it has been so many, many years that we have not had a qb worth having.......... since Terry Bradshaw. Ben is quick thinking, he is fast, thinks well on his feet and is an elite player. His large stature, cannon arm, laser-like accuracy, and smart play are second to none. Yeah we can get another Troy, not another Ben. He is a field general, the best there is!~ Not 2nd best.
My loyalities are with the name on the front of the jersey, in any team I support. Stars come and go............heros are forever....Ben is a hero

It took over 20 years to find the Bradshaw's replacement. Keep Ben no matter what.

I have to go with Ben. We have been lacking a great QB. Now we have one.

Agreed. Well except for the "second best QB" part. LOL

But we Steeler fans have suffered quite a long time without a top notch QB.

this ain't though for me, i'd take big ben, defense may win championships but if you don't have an offense that can get points the defense won't mean a damn thing, cause defense can only do so much

defense is more important than offense, but QB is the most important single position.
Ben for sure.
importance on a team is like
QB
DL
OL
DL
OL
DL
etc etc

As a Steelers fan, I think it may go something like this

QB
LB
RB
OL
NT
DB
WR

I would have to select Big Ben as well... I am a big defensive fan but a franchise QB like him doesnt come around very often. I am new to your message room but I want everyone to know that I truly bleed Black N Gold... I love the Steelers...

i'll throw in a shut down cb in that mix (in the bottom 3) i think if you look at the average of the top 5 qb's salaries vs. the top 5 safeties it would probably be a difference of about 5-6 million dollars a year. the market says ben is more important. if ben ever becomes a free agent, there will be about 10 teams more than willing to outspend the steelers for his services. but the exact same can be3 said for polamalu, in fact, since polamalu is just a safety, id say more than 10 teams would be willing to outbid the steelers for his services.

Im a defensive guy, I always have been. I love seeing the big hits, the interceptions, the sacks, everything.

My gut tells me to say Ben because we've not had a solid QB for so long..but my heart says Troy because he's just such a monster back there for us.
