Default Getting younger!!!

I`m not sure what the average age of our players will be this season. But it should be alot younger than last season, now that we have lost some of our older players. Willie Williams, Kimo, Tommy, and Jerome. All off the roster for this year drops four players well into thier 30`s. Its a good feeling to be getting younger without losing talent, out of the four Bettis hurts more of the field than on. And Kimo was steady and solid, but Kiesel may be a upgrade, with speed and youth. With all the early talk of repeat, this bodes well for us with our younger talent. This is a team that has built primarily through the draft, with that said we do not have alot of old veterans that we picked up just to win a championship, that is one reason it is so hard to repeat, so many teams build with free agency bringing in older great players.

Its a long road to the next superbowl. Its a good feeling we have a young team to go the distance.

Very nice post. I think Gardocki is the oldest current Steelers. Punters can punt until there are 50. Other then that the Steelers roster has alot of youth.

Youth is a great thing...in moderation. You always need that nice balance of consistent veterans to set the tone for the team. But with players like Hines Ward the Steelers should be OK.

Exactly, and that was my point with this thread, we always build from the draft, MAINLY! So our veterans all spread out very well!
