Talking Steelers v Titans 10/9

I saw a similar post to what I'm wondering about, but thought I would try too!

Me and my boyfriend will be flying up this weekend for the game, and to visit family in Ohio. I've never really been out of California, and this will be my first NFL game! And 2 of his friends will be going to the game with us too.

We were hoping another of his friends would be going to the game so we could all tailgate together but looks like he bought tickets for the game after this one. Now, our plans are to go to this bar (guess its good for pre-game drinking) and then walk around some of the parking lots before hand.

I was really hoping to get the full experience of tailgating, since who knows when we will be able to make it to another game.

Does anyone have suggestions on what would be cool to see? Particularly in the tailgating area? I've seen a few posts with others from out of town joining tailgaters, but it looks like with peoples flakiness, that is dying down.

It would be awesome to find someone who would let us pitch in for food and beer so we can really get the full experience of a Steelers home game!

Cheers :)

Default Re: Steelers v Titans 10/9

I am driving up from Virginia Beach with my son and two friends for the Titans game. It will be the first time at Heinz Field for all of us. For the last 10 years, we have been going to the Raven/Steeler game in Baltimore since it is a closer drive. It has been tough, especially the last couple of years, sitting in a 20 seat radius sea of purple around us cheering on the Black and Gold. We've had beer, eggs, muffins and dinner rolls (yes, dinner rolls) thrown at us while walking around the tailgating parking lots throughout the years. We were at the first game of the season in Baltimore... and it was extremely brutal that day! Raven fans had bent up frustration of being knocked out of the playoffs by the Steelers, and they took it out on the few Steeler fans that were at the game. Usually it is 30% Steeler fans at the stadium, but this year it was more like 3-5%. Season opener, 9-11 tribute and sunny weather made the season ticket holders NOT sell their tickets on Stub Hub to 'Lers fans.

It will be nice to cheer for the Steelers at home for once. Like Amanda.... in the previous post... we would like to know of any tailgaters that would like be nice to us for a change. We just want to get the full effect of the Steeler home experience! We would chip in for beer and food as well.

Amanda... if anybody contacts you, please let us know, and visaversa.
GO Steelers!
