His head is the same size. At least his helmet fits.

alan faneca was in pittsburgh today for a visit at the facilities. unfortunately it wasnt to come out of retirement and be a back up guard.

infact he would be more than 40 lbs too shy to back up heath miller.

Quote:
Former Pro Bowl guard Alan Faneca was at the Steelers offices today, visiting his former teammates and watching practice. But you wouldn't recognize him if you saw him.

Faneca has lost nearly 100 pounds from his playing weight of 310 and is sporting a long red ponytail that stretches nearly to the middle of his back, Several people in the front office did not know it was him when they saw him. He looked more like a castoff from a mens' cologne ad than a seven-time Pro Bowl pick.

His change in weight is dramatic because Faneca played last season with the Arizona Cardinals.
the wallpaper of his twitter page has him shirtless holding his baby, which is even more freakish than the one in this link. http://twitter.com/#!/afan66

he's like a normal sized average person now (well, besides the giant, icabod crane, pumpkin head). hard to believe our HOF guard would now probably lose a tug-o-war with jeff reed or sepulveda.

I guess all the extra pounds were due to putting in quality time in the weight room and a healthy diet

Uh-huh - wonder if Faneca and Aaron Smith go to the same pharmacist?
