Default Steelers long time single TD rec record falls

thank you mike wallace for finally erasing mark malone out of the record books.

his and bens 95 yd td rec is now the longest in steelers history, previously held by a freaking qb on his only nfl reception.

the 90 yd record was also held by a bubby brister to dwight stone connection in 89 or 90 i believe.

I believe the record was also held by Kordell Stewart and Bobby Shaw in 2001, Sunday Night game against Baltimore for the division, 90 yard touchdown reception. I remember that play vividly.

I remember that as well, back then we thought it would stand a long time. I mean how often does a QB hit a receiver for more than 90yrds. Kudo's to Ben an Wallace!

Don't forget to give an assist to Johnson. Without his false start on the previous play, would've only been 90 or 91 yards!

CB caught looking in the backfield as Wallace runs past him Ben hits Wallace in stride and its off to the races and nobody is going to catch Wallace touchdown.

Malone was the receiver. Bradshaw was the QB.

That pass was a thing of beauty! I was at the game, and the crowd seemed to me to be about 52-48% in favor of the Steelers. Later, when our defensive penalties allowed the Cards to get down to the 1, they scored from there. As soon as the Cards fans quieted down, I hollered out, "Our touchdown was more exciting!"
