Anyone remember this story? Turns out to be a foreboding warning
after the fact...

I propose a new clause be added to all Current and Future Steeler
Draftees - no more high risk activities OTHER than football. You
don't like it, go somewhere else.

All future rookies coming into the league should understand - with
regards to the draft, you wanna ride, you're gonna slide...out of
the 1st round, who knows, you may not be drafted. Sorry, but Ben
wins the Moron badge for riding without a helmet. Even AFTER being
warned by everyone, even AFTER Kellen Winslow...Ugh...

Forget the helmet issue. Ben shouldn't have been on the bike to begin with. Its sad its really sad. Ben just used poor judgement. Poor judgement that almost cost him his live. Sorry I had an uncle die while riding a motorcycle . So I know personally the dangers of riding motorcycles. Thats why I feel so strongly about the subject.

I wish Ben the best. But it could have been totally avoided.

People die in car crashes every day, so should we all stop driving also? Or just NFL stars?

We obviously cant stop living life as we know it, we all take chances at times do ya'll agree? Riding a bike is no different than driving a car or getting on a air plane if it is your time to be taken out of this world then the good Lord will take you..Believe In God...

His contract contains a default provision that says the Steelers have the right to go after some of his bonus money if Roethlisberger cannot play due to a non-football injury. Not that they would but it is in there.

It is actually very different. I suppose jumping off a 500 foot cliff without a parachute is the same as jumping off one with a parachute, and if it isn't your time you'll live without the parachute? That doesn't make any sense. There are unnecessary risks that people take, such as riding a bike without a helmet, and it shows a serious lack of knowledge of the real world to say that riding a bike without a helmet is the same as driving in a car.

I am not here to make any religious statements or anything of the sort, but what you are claiming is just silly.

No kidding people die in car crashes everyday. But if Ben would have been in a car yesterday instead on that motorcycle. He probally would have just came out of it with minor bumps and bruises or he might not even got hurt. You expose yourself so much on a motorcycle. With the millions the Rooney's have invested in him. Ben owes it to the Steelers to stay off motorcycles and not put himself at risk.
