Default Hines' Replacement!

Marvin McNutt, WR, Iowa
After beginning his career as a quarterback, McNutt is an emerging talent as a wide receiver prospect. He has continued to produce in the Big 10, and has become one of the more consistent playmakers in the country. McNutt has excellent size, and could even bulk up further, making him even harder to defend. He knows how to use his body to set up and creates a massive target for his quarterback. McNutt has excellent ball skills, and is impossible to cover in jump ball situations, which could make him a terror for defenses in the red zone. He lacks the speed to get down the field vertically with any consistency, and will not make many plays with the ball in his hands, but he could become a very good possession receiver at the next level. He continues to improve with more experience, and there's no reason for that to end once he gets to the professional level.

We've already have his replacement in Wallace,Brown, Sanders, and Cotchery. To me it's just about time to start looking for #7's eventual replacement. Find someone in the next year or two that they can groom to take over when age and constant poundings have taken a toll.

We DON'T have Hines' replacement for the routes thru the middle! None of the receivers we have besides him right now do that... We don't need Ben's yet but we do need a compitent backup QB for the next 3-4 years!

Antonio Brown runs the routes through the middle and he is very good run blocker. Sanders can also run through the middle. We dont really need a replacement for Ward, we just need WR depth. It sure wouldnt hurt to have another WR like Hines, but we need to move one from him.

We're not taking a wide receiver, probably not at all, but certainly not in any of the rounds where McNutt would be available. What good is another receiver when we're not able to keep the QB throwing him the ball upright and healthy? Besides... really?

I really think Sanders is our Hines replacement. When he's healthy he's shown he can run those routes and he's the best blocker of our WRs that isn't Hines.
