Default Steelers aerial coverage

Does anybody know if there is a website where you can view aerial game footage from a high elevation camera or blimp? Interested to see what's happening down the field.

LOL. They used to show a lot of plays from aerial coverage during games, especially during replays.

This is actually a fascinating question (to me, anyway). As a die hard football fan, I would love to have the aerial view during games, at least as a picture-in-picture option. The Wall Street Journal, of all newspapers, had an interesting article about aerial (called "all-22") footage last month. Here's the link to the article: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...150731054.html

The gist of the article is that the league is concerned that releasing this aerial footage would open up players and teams to criticism, as blown coverages, missed assignments, and other mistakes become more obvious to viewers. Seems like a flimsy argument to me.

Wow, sounds like the rest of the pansy ass garbage that the league does, so I would believe it. I'd just like to see the routes ran, see who does what in coverage, etc. As I said, they used to do it a lot in the 90's.

unfortunately the high camera endzone angles are only available to the nfl insiders via "coaching tape".

the WJS article touches on some of that.

there is asmall movement led by pat kirwan and tim ryan and all their MTC listeners to hopefully get that video footage released to average joe fans (for educational and study purposes to better understand the game) but it is very unlikely.
