Glad to hear the swelling in his face has gone down. Here is another link to an article about everything being put into perspective. In the article, Ben's agent mentions that Big Ben was exercising on Monday. That's what we definitely want to hear.

The media would do nothing but try and get Ben to make comments to create further problems for him. The media feeds off controversy and wants something to make a stir. Best thing for Ben is to wait until he is healed more, stay in the best shaped possible, then make an appearance. The thing they should print or report then is how good he is doing. Not how bad he looks or "Will he ever be the same?".

If Ben lines up behind Hartings for all 16 games and for the playoff run then it will be easy to say the accident could have been a blessing.

Ben's going to wear a helmut or maybe even better just not ride a bike until retirement or "ride in large numbers" has he suggested he only did. Reflecting...since when is one a large number.

Michigan Gov. just vetoed the helmet law saving the residents there millions and millions in unpaid emergency room invoices.

And the delay of another bad soup commercial.

Are you kidding? Imagine if you are a photographer and Cowher and Ben publicly announce that they are pissed off about you selling a pic they didn't want published. No picture fee would be worth the cost of looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life, wondering when some Steeler Nation ninja was going to take me out for dishonoring his family.

you know what, the morning of his accident i heard him on 2 national radio appearances pimping some fantasy website that sells players like stocks on the stock market. i love a good steeler interview as much as anyone but it was getting to be ben overkill. i liked the reports of ben throwing 60-70 yard bombs in o.t.a.'s with superb accuracy much bbetter than a website plug out of his own mouth.

ben getting away from the media is a good thing. him gaining more perspective and focus on his game is a GREAT thing. im not looking forward to seeing him go through a grueling inquisition.

i know he thanks God, and i know he will wear a helmet, and i know he has learned a lesson, and i know footbal is his #1 priority. i just wanna see him go out on the field and prove it.

(i am curious how his swiss cow "benita" is doing though, and whether he can still smell the cheeze when he cuts it))
