What a load of hogwash. How many Super Bowls did the Cowboys win under Jerry Jones? They might be crap now but he has been a meddling owner all through the 90s when they were good. Jerry Jones is as public and in your face an owner as he can possibly be. Rooney says one thing in public and gets criticized for it? He has the right to say whatever he wants to.

If the players feel they have to answer to the owner and not the coach then it undermines the power of the Head Coach --> i.e Dallas for the last 15 years - (except for Parcells who wouldnt put up with that nonsense)
