Default Another Assistant could leave?

Steelers' assistant Olsavsky interviews with Miami
Wednesday, February 01, 2012
By Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
The Steelers are faced with the possibility of losing another young coach from Mike Tomlin's staff.

Defensive assistant Jerry Olsavsky is interviewing with the Miami Dolphins to become linebackers coach -- a move that was likely precipitated when linebackers coach Keith Butler turned down an opportunity to become defensive coordinator in Indianapolis.

Olsavsky, who played from 1989-1997 with the Steelers, would have been in position to become linebackers coach if Butler decided to leave.

The Steelers already lost one of the young assistants from their staff when Harold Goodwin, an assistant offensive line coach, left to become offensive line coach with the Colts.

Thats what I thought at first to.. but it makes since for him if u think about it... Butler is basically being told 100 percent that when Dick L retires the D coord is your job... so really jerry will never get a chance to move up with the Steelers or at least not for a long time...

Latitudinal, maybe. I would do it for the same pay. Nice weather in Miami and sexy women ;-)

Jerry is 15 years younger than Butler......I figured this would happen, thats why i wanted Butler to go to Indy.

RAVENS are getting more screwed than any team when it comes to Coaches. No one can argue with that. One thing Steelers and Ravens fans have in common is the COLTS are really Screwing us, RAVENS more so with losing another D.C yet again. And a GREAT one at that.

I will say this, i really did like Chuck Pags. but i think the COLTS jumped the gun on him. He's never been a H.C before and he was only the D.C for 1 season. I personally don't think he will last long if Luck ends up being a bust, even though he would have had nothing to do with Drafting him. (pretty sure it was already predetermined) I wish him , LUCK < (no punt intended) , but not too much luck
