Default Larry Foote

Hi everyone! I have a question. I'm watching the Chargers/Cardinals game and Foote seems to be playing pretty good. Does anyone think that the Steelers should have kept him for 1 more year and do you think that he could have helped stable our defense? I know eventually that the defense will get better, but (and I know I could be wrong) it seems that we could have used Foote's veteran leadership this year. What do you think?

We gotta hope Ben,Bell, and Brown can keep outscoring teams until those new guys start to get it

Foote is a savy vet, but our ILB got some much needed depth this offseason with Ryan and Sean

CB and DL is where we need more quality depth

I love Foote don't get me wrong, but it was time to part ways and make room for younger guys. It might be another year or two before we're back to being anything that resembles a powerhouse in the NFL but give these younger guys some time to develop a little bit more and things are going to get better.

James farrrier was the qb of our defense but green bay exposed him in the SB by isolating him on a wr in zone coverage.

We brought in Larry Foote to replace him and while he could make all the calls, he got injured.

We are currently lacking a true qb of the defense. It will be shazier but instead of him being long in the tooth, he is still wet behind the ears.

Plus steelerfans generally despise any player on "the wrong side of 30".

He's not in position to. It's Shazier's job now, for better or worse.

This year Timmons moves to buck. So it's him, not Shazier to make the calls.

good for Larry, I always liked him.

8 tackles, 2 for loss, 1 pass defensed...
