good stuff
I agree. Not trying to brag here or anything but i was a stand out in highschool. I was actually one of the most heavily recruited players the state ever had. We were privileged and everybody knew it. We got to skip class all the time. But at the same time we were consistantly under the lime light and the pressure was beyond imaginable for a 16-17 year old

Man, I loved Silence of the Lambs, but once was enough. How about the 1986 TV movie based on the same subject, Manhunter? That sight of the burning body in the wheelchair, wow. (Red Dragon is a remake of Manhunter.)

Saving Private Ryan was fabulous. One of my top 5 films of all time.
in fact, heres an offshoot to the thread:
Tom Hanks 5 best roles

Punch Line (played a total psycho "Singing in the Rain")
Saving Private Ryan
Road to Perdition
Forrest Gump
Apollo 13

* Philadelphia is ruined for me by that over the top opera scene. puh-leeeze.

The Big Lebowski

I didn't really get it when I first saw it. But I lived in a house that had digital cable a the time, and it seemed like that movie was on all the time. I kept on seeing bits and pieces and connecting dots. Now I think the movie is brilliant and hilarious. I think Coen brother movies definately fall into this category because they are an acquired taste for most people.
