i don't know, but if you get used to hearing stupid questions all the time it probably makes you like that

rob from thomaston,ct: ed do you feel coach Tomlin might be mad or upset that some of the important decision making this year was done by the Rooney's and not Tomlin. its like the Rooney's are creating there team not Tomlin's as a coach

Ed Bouchette: You really should learn to spell just a little if you are going to chat.

sometimes informative and insightful. most of the times, atleast entertaining.

take the good with the bad. part of eds job is to ask questions to mike tomlin every week, and he seldom gets the answers he wants....

anyways there is no steelers beat writer who has a positive approval rating = par for the course.
I agree as well. If somebody asks me a stupid question you can bet your sweet ass that I will have a sarcastic response. The chats are entertaining, but any of us that follow football like Rainman follows Jeopardy could answer any of these questions.

hmmm... i didnt really find it sarcastic at all and it most certainly didnt make me angry, hateful, cry, sniffle, or even hurt my feelings.

it was a legitimate question that was met with a legitimate answer.

perhaps some people are just better suited to the sensitive, thoughtful, and caring softball answers gerry lobs up to the same question-

Steel Curtain Rising: Gerry, I was mildly surprised that the Steelers chose Foote over Farrior, was age the main determining factor, or was something else at play?

Gerry Dulac: Yes, I kind of was, too, but I think age was the determining factor. The money difference, I don't believe, was that great. And I believe Farrior could still go one more year on the same schedule as 2011 -- at least as well as Foote. Of all the players who have been released, he was the one and only who was and still could be a contributor.

"mildly, ....kind of, .....i believe"????

im suprised a few "i feel" s werent thrown in there.

i got more of an answer out of ed, supposedly being a dick-

obvious minimal money savings aside, with all other things being the same (other than foote being a tad bit slower), ed heard the steelers would chose youth over age.

sounds to me like ed doesnt agree with the decision w/o actually saying he disagrees (or feels or believes).

good reporting IMO.
